Nucleus Collection Information

We are pleased to invite you to collect your Nucleus Colony (Nuc) from our workshop in Gloucester. Please review the following information to ensure a smooth and efficient collection process.

The outstanding balance of your order (£200 per Nuc ordered) is due upon collection. Payment can be made via:

• Cash

• Bank Transfer (details below, please use order number for reference)

• Card (Visa/Mastercard) in person

Please note: We do not accept cheques, as cleared payment is required on collection.

Collection Timings
Collections are available on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We recommend collecting early to minimise the time the bees are confined. A time slot within your selected collection date will be allocated to you.

Directions – IMPORTANT
Please follow the Google Maps link provided, as the postcode may direct you to Chosen Hill House in error. As our building is relatively new, a satellite view may not yet be available.

From the M5 Motorway:

1. Take Exit 11 and follow signs for Cheltenham (A40).

2. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit.

3. Shortly after, take the first left onto Badgeworth Road and follow for 1 mile.

4. Turn right towards Churchdown (into the second entrance, avoiding the no-entry sign).

5. Continue onto Brookfield Road for 1.2 miles (past Chosen Hill School on your right).

6. At the mini roundabout, take the 2nd exit (straight over) onto Paynes Pitch for 0.2 miles.

7. At the top of the hill, turn left onto Barrow Hill / Hucclecote Lane and drive 0.8 miles.

8. Look for our green signs on the left-hand side. DO NOT turn right, as Sat Nav may incorrectly direct you to Chosen Hill House.

9. Follow the track down and park in front of our reception entrance.

Time Slot Booking
To ensure an organised collection, please book a 10-minute time slot via our provided booking system. We understand that some customers travel long distances, so if you arrive early, feel free to visit our reception. If you anticipate a delay, please notify us as soon as possible.

Each Nuc will be inspected, sealed, and ready for collection early in the morning before the bees begin flying. Due to logistical reasons, we cannot offer prior inspections. Your Nuc will be packaged in either a Used 2 in 1 Poly Nuc with a wooden ventilation screen or a Correx ventilated travel box depending on your order.

For Long-Distance Travel & Warm Weather:
We recommend bringing a water sprayer to lightly mist the bees (through the ventilation screens) during transit to keep them cool.

If your circumstances have changed and you need to reschedule your collection, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate an alternative date.
