Our approach involves the instrumental insemination of queens with semen from drones originating from hygienic colonies, ensuring a genetic blend that produces superior queens. To maintain genetic diversity and prevent in-breeding, we rear queens from different, unrelated hygienic colonies each year. These 'daughter-queens' undergo open mating in areas where local drones also hail from hygienic colonies.
The result? Queens that are not only among the finest in the UK but also possess exceptional docility and productivity, making them a joy to handle.
Discover the convenience of pre-booking your queens for next-day delivery, including Saturdays and Sundays, from late March to September. We utilise Royal Mail Special Delivery® and Tracked 24® parcels for prompt and secure shipping, with the exception of bank holidays. For those who prefer a personal touch, you're welcome to collect your queens from our base in Gloucester at a pre-arranged time.
