Over the last few weeks we’ve been a bit quieter than usual across social media and updates – and for good reason. We’ve been busy laying the foundations (quite literally) for the next stage of BS Honey Bees Ltd.
We’ve officially started the groundworks for a brand new building, going up right next to our existing unit here in Gloucestershire. This is a significant step forward for the business and something we’ve been planning for a long time.
Why a new building?
As the business has grown, so have the demands on space, storage and day-to-day operations. This new building will allow us to:
-
Improve efficiency across the farm
-
Increase covered storage and working space
-
Future-proof the business for continued growth
Nothing flashy or overcomplicated – just a practical agricultural building, built properly, to support what we do.
Documenting the process
We’ve decided to document the entire build from start to finish, showing the reality of doing it ourselves: groundworks, weather delays, long days and steady progress. No shortcuts and no glossing over the hard bits.
Part 1 focuses on the groundwork stage – site preparation, levelling and getting the base ready before construction begins.

Further parts will follow as the build progresses, taking it right through to completion.
Busy bees, but moving forward
This project explains why we’ve been a little quieter recently – it’s been all hands on deck behind the scenes. We appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support while we’ve been busy bees.
