Happy New Year, beekeepers and bee enthusiasts! 🐝🎉 After a well-deserved break over Christmas and New Year, we’re officially back today, 7th January 2025. It’s rare for us to step away for such a long time, but this pause gave us the chance to rest, reflect, and spend precious time with family. Now, it’s full steam ahead! 🚀

And what a return! We’re greeted by a flurry of orders for Poly Nucs, Fondant, and 2025 Bee Pre-Orders. Our Overwintered Nucs, available from April 2025, are in high demand, with allocation starting to fill up quickly. If you’re planning for the upcoming season, we strongly recommend placing your pre-order soon to secure your spot. The countdown is on for The Beekeeping Show in Telford on Saturday, 22nd February 2025! 🗓️ Keep an eye on our website—we’ll soon be taking pre-orders for collection at the event. Remember, our 2-in-1 Poly Nucs are proudly made here in the UK using high-quality EPS (Expanded Polystyrene). Unlike the cheap Chinese replicas made with EPP, our Nucs are built to last. By supporting us, you’re choosing quality and helping us stand against knock-offs. 💪🇬🇧

Seasonal Tips for Your Bees
🐝 Hefting: Continue checking your hive weights. If they feel light, add fondant—your bees may have developed a Christmas sweet tooth!
🐝 Oxalic Treatments: If you’re trickling or vaporising, now is the time to finish while the brood nest is still small. Be careful not to release too much hive heat.
🐝 Flooding/Snow: For those affected by the severe weather, we’re thinking of you and hope your bees are safe.
